I was honored to have a personal tour by honor student Roy Christman in November, 2004. He was so proud of the project and shared the experiences of this fine community project. Roy pointed out his desk. While Roy was attending here, I was in school in Yuma, Arizona at Crane and Roosevelt grammer. I moved to Bruxelles in 1993.

I went to Pine Run School in first grade (1948), Etta Brown was my teacher. I went to Kibler School in 3rd grade (Loretta Hessinger, teacher) and Beers School in 6th grade (Paul Borger, teacher). I have class photos of those years. I''m not sure which schools I attended in between. My 7 older brothers & sisters also went to one-room schools and attended the reunion (they won the prize for most family present). Unfortunately, since I live in Florida, they didn''t mention the reunion to me until after the fact. However, next year, if a reunion is held, I will definitely fly up to attend. What fun it would be to see some of the "kids" I went to school with over 50 years ago! Thanks for doing this neat thing! :-)

Kay attended this school for 2nd & part of 3rd grade. We moved to the new Towamensing Elementary School after the Christmas vacation in third grade. Wow, we had indoor bathrooms, heat and even a cafeteria. We were both involved with the restorations and it was a wonderful project.
